Hey All! This is a couple that came from Baltimore to finish up their open water certification. Then we went onto dive cenotes. I love it when people get so excited with their experiences with us. Diving with the Bull Sharks

A month ago we went and dove with the bull sharks in Playa del Carmen. Wow, that was exciting. There were 8 of us and we descended to 80' and got in a tight circle and waited. Out of nowhere they appeared. They circled around us, and got pretty darn close at times. Jesus kept pushing me out of the circle so he could get the photo opportunity with sharks behind me. That was okay till one came a bit to close for my likings. It was a cool experience and if you want to go let me know and I'll set it up. The best part was shore to the dive site was 5 minutes. Free the turtles!

This was such a super experience, and can't believe I didn't do this in the last 5 years. My friend Laura has been working for her university hours with the foundation that saves the turtles. She does everything from office work to gathering eggs in the middle of the night. She gave me an experience of a lifetime to free some of the little guys & gals. We went out to the Playa de Marlin and met up with around 70 people, most of them volunteers. A lot is educating young kids the importance of this, so I just stood beside them and learned. The 1st turtle I got to hold was the one I thought I got to free. I already named her Bertha.

Then Bertha went back into the bucket we walked down to the beach where I was given another little one. So, I named him Wilbur, I know you are all thinking where does she come up with these names? He was fiesty and ready to hit the waters, then they counted down and we released them to the ocean. Amazing fact only 1 of 100 make it to 3 years old. I'm sure Wilbur is going to be one of those, he was a fighter, and I gave him a kiss and said to come back to visit.

What a unique experience we get to have living in the beautiful Caribbean. I would have never had this pleasure as all the million of other treats I always talk about if I wouldn't have taken the chance to move here. My life is unique, full of surprises, and full of love from the great people around me, and I thank God to have let me have this opportunity.

Okay, next, whale sharks!!!! I'll keep you posted, Jesus is out doing a night dive right now, wish I was there, but got the admin side of the house to take care of...Take care until next time....

Ready to Work!

After 4 months of paperwork we finally have everything ready to start working off our boat. Jesus is out today with divers. We went harpooning a couple of days ago and got some nice fish for cerviche. We are going next week to snorkel with the whale sharks, I'll update with pictures. The guides are now charging $185 per person, pricy but well worth it. Take care, stay cool, and be back with more pictures.

You know the time is right to come down for summer vacation. Whale sharks are back in the area for snorkelers. We plan on taking our boat over to Isla Contoy and see what we find. Oh, we got a boat and is all ready for divers, so come on down, we will only take 4 people at a time to keep it personal and not too crowded. I'll post a photo in a day or 2 (promise Cynthia) so you can see what it looks like. We named it "Cha Cha Cha". Okay this fish was just hanging there, was ready to tell a tall tale, but it was somebody elses!

Boy, I have been slow, going to fix that and keep you more updated. Sadly enough the port has been closed this last week. That means no diving, too windy. You would just get sick on the boat, so pray this wind goes away.

Hey, Jesus just got his American citizenship! The ceremony was huge; only 2600 people getting naturalized.

Come diving, we're bored; the good thing if it windy we can dive cenotes.

Congratulations to Gregg Hall on his Open Water Certification. Also, to all of his family for trying Discover Scuba. We had a blast with all of you.

Wow, we just slowed down for a bit, hoping everyone wants to come when the diving is at its finest. It is hot and sunny and no wind, so gives us endless visibility and makes diving super.

Did I tell you whale sharks are moving in? If you have never snorkeled with them, this is your lifetime opportunity. We had a couple go a couple of weeks ago, and still can't stop talking about the experience. Here's a couple of pictures to prove it. I would love to set up that tour for you, just drop me an e-mail. So, where does the time go? Where are you divers? Come on, let's go diving, it is beautiful here, leave the cold, snow, and dark and go on vacation!

It has been fantastic weather here, and in the high 80's everyday. We are going to have our boat in the water by March, and can't wait to finally be solo, and you will really get the service you want. Personal is the #1 point we take pride in. Jesus and I will do our best to provide the most relaxing and fun service you can ask for. We aren't like the big "cattle boats" because our boat can only hold up to 8 divers, how much more personal can you get?

Hey it's December isn't it? This year has flown by for us and I'm sure for you too.

Great news we are now boat owners, give us a couple of months to get the boat in the water and the name is "Libedula" which is "Dragonfly" in English.

This 1st pic is our latest certified diver from Oslo, Norway on the left, Elizabeth, then myself, and our newest friend from Prague, Czeckoslvakia and her name is Rosie. I won't forget the guy in the back is a buddy from Souix Falls, South Dakota and that's Don.

Sorry I didn't get a note in earlier. Our business is doing great and keeping us busy!
Finally got through the rainy season and now it is fantastic weather and super visibility.

Our divers have been seeing black tip sharks outside the bay, pretty awesome. Here's a couple of pics for your enjoyment.

Also, we are using PayPal, which is a very secure way to make deposit so you can reserve ahead of time.

Hey, how is everyone doing? Let me know! Coming back to Cancun or 1st time? Boy weather has been good to us. Getting rain a bit here and there, okay realistically it rains hard for 10-20 minutes and then you get about 90% humidity for another hour and I promise you to sweat!

Boy has it been busy here! The tourists just keep coming and we love it. Since I posted last we now are working in Hotel Club Carrousel selling diving. We sell a lot of "Discover Scuba" which is diving for the 1st time with a small lesson, pool time and 1 tank in our beautiful reefs no more than 7-10 meters deep.

We now have T-shirts and tank tops to promote our business, so if you are planning a vacation to Cancun soon please contact us. If you are certified or not we have something special for you.

Oh, and I'm giving away free sun too.

Come on it's still hot here and the diving couldn't be better!

What a beautiful day to dive ! The water is clear and warm, and visibility was amazing. We dove the shipwreck and "tunnels". Both were amazing. Hey, still have time for some vacation? Come on down to Cancun and visit us. This picture was taken this morning by "ME".

Just a note to let you know, we changed out name from Perron Divers to "Personal Divers". We were having too many problems with people not knowing what it meant, so to make life easier...

Actually Perron is the nickname my husband had here when he was working years ago. It simply means "hard working dog".

Scuba Diving in Cancun

Hi!

My name is Lisa Stearns-Migoni. I'm 1/2 of a privately run scuba dive service in Cancun. My husband and I provide a unique private service for divers, snorkelers, and for people just interested on things to do in Cancun.
